Celebrate!

Our school year is coming to a close. Early this month, Isaiah completed his math program and in April, Nathaniel finished both his math and reading. So, we went out to CELEBRATE!

Our first stop was our neighborhood cupcake shop. Yum! The kids had gourmet cupcakes and I almost had a heart attack when I paid the bill. Gourmet cupcakes sure are yummy, and they sure are pricey!

It also happened to be Earth Day. In thanksgiving to God, we had a "trash" walk on the way home. Grateful for this earth he's given us, we thought we'd try to beautify our neighborhood a little and clean up an empty lot. Eleven Giant Eagle bags later, the lot still needed much attention. It's sad to think how easily people throw their trash into empty lots and onto sidewalks.

During our "trash" walk, we found a few interesting items: a label maker, a passport wallet, a huge weighted ball for exercise, a stolen cell phone, and our keeper, a mini guitar.
