Happy Birthday, Nathaniel! On October 3, Nathaniel turned 7! And in our house, when you turn 7, you are of legal age to watch Star Wars. So this year, to celebrate his big day, we invited a few friends over to watch "A New Hope" and eat cake and ice cream. It was a wild boy time and Nathaniel wasn't disappointed with his first Star Wars viewing. The day after his celebration, he watched "The Empire Strikes Back", and just today he froze his Hans Solo figurine in a cup of water. The most humorous part of his birthday commemoration was that he didn't want a Star Wars cake, but rather a Spidey cake. So, here it is. The tradition in our home is that the kids get a small toy on their cake as both decoration and present.

This year, Nathaniel is really making progress in his reading and spelling skills. He also loves to play a Cap'n Jax Math Facts and is tearing up on his subtraction and addition math facts. As far as handwriting, Nathaniel decided Nate was a better name this year being that it only has four letters.

Nathaniel is also continuing to study the piano and just switched teachers. He really enjoys practicing. If your ever on the phone with us or at our house, remember to request for him to play a short piece for you. He loves to play for others.
Nathaniel means "Gift from God" and each year we are blessed by just how wonderful a gift he is to our family. He is loving, funny, compassionate, and thoughtful. It is a pleasure to have him as our son!

Happy Belated Birthday Nathaniel! I can't believe he is 7 already.....
I love the cake! I don't know if I can used to calling him Nate but we had to go from calling Joey to calling him Joe but he still gets Joey from family and he is Nate's age + 18 (tell him to figure that addition out)......... so Nathaniel (Nate) might have to go back and forth until he stresses to everyone that is what he wants to be called! Love you all - Aunt Denise..
Nathaniel IS a gift from God! We are so glad that he is our nephew and part of our family!! Happy Birthday, Nathaniel! We love you!
