Gnats, Flies and Daniel Boone?

Today we were reminded of the plagues of gnats and flies that the LORD sent upon Egypt. Unable to come up with an actual visual aid for the gnats, we recalled what it was like when we walk through the woods and get engulfed in a cloud of gnats. We swatted our hands back and forth in front of our faces and discussed how terrible it would be to have gnats in our space all the time. We also remembered the fruit fly explosion we had this summer and how terrible it was to have them cruising around all the time.
For the flies, we glued little black pieces of paper on the Egyptians. The kids had a great time with this. Joel wasn't agreeable to the tape and paper so he was the only Egyptian unaffected by the flies. "Moses" seeing how fun it was to be an Egyptian today, quickly undressed and donned his Egyptian garb. He was too late. We were done plaguing for the day.
A while later, during our table work, Daniel Boone made a surprise appearance. It was random, and amusing. Hope you enjoy the pictures. We sure enjoyed the day.
